Description: Kidspiration is a website in which kids can create, organize and explain ideas and information in a visual manner. They can develop stories with descriptions using visual tools that are engaging, while also exploring new ideas with webs and maps.
Cost: $29.50. However, Kidspiration does offer a free trial for students to use (and for parents to see) before purchasing, if they so please.
Characteristics: Students who would greatly benefit from this resource are those who: have trouble organizing their thoughts and those who are visual learners.
Environment: Students could use this tool at school or at home. Both environments could be deemed appropriate as the software help children with in-class organization skills and completion of tasks. Parents can choose to buy Kidspiration for their children to use at home in order to complete their homework in a way that is most efficient for them.
Tasks: While using Kidspiration, students can combine pictures, text and audio to develop comprehension as well as a greater idea of how to organize ideas and create stories.
